HOLY CRAP I WILL MAKE ANOTHER REVIEW? BLASPHEMEH! O=
Final Fantasy is a series that literally went downhill after IX (9).
What do I mean with that?
I: You take on the role of 4 nameless Heroes. You choose their classes/jobs. It's pretty damn awesome.
I: You're 4 young rebels (everyone got a set name, something from this game onward became tradition). Fairly good game, but not the best IMO.
III: You take on the role of four youths that... Literally does everything known to man. Pretty awesome.
IV: This is the first (and last) game that got 5 characters. You take on the role of a young Dark Knight called Cecil. He and his friends (he's got a few...) needs to save the world (and the MOON!). Far from the best, though.
V: Taking on the role of a young man called Butz (or Bartz), your life isn't gonna be the same the instance you rescue a young girl called Lenna.
VI: Known as the third in the US. You first take on the role of a young mysterious girl called Terra (JP name is "Tina"). She's got the ability to use magic(!) and needs to learn who the hell she is.
VII: Taking on the role of a mercenary named Cloud, your job is to aid AVALANCHE, a resistance group. My personal favorite Final Fantasy game, ever.
VIII: You're Squall, a young anti-social man that's a SeeD unit. You're, again, a mercenary and is heading around the world, saving it from various different things as well as taking on missions.
IX: Encounter Zidane, a cheery thief. His job is to kidnap the princess Garnet. However, in doing so, he just might have altered the fate for all of humanity... Last decent one.
X: Tidus is a Blitzball player (basically soccer underwater) that lost his father ten years ago. When heading to the Jecht memorial cup (his fathers name was Jecht), he gets pulled away by something called "Sin". What waits for him at the other end of Sin? Only time will tell...
XI: Haven't played, online game.
XII: The one we're making a review of.
You start out as some guy called Recs (I think?) who's a soldier and recently married.
He gets killed.
Yeah...
You then take on the S.O.B (Son Of A Bitch) Vaan. His usefulness is... Non-existant. He's a thief, which is right about his only strong point.
Getting money isn't happening. It's freaking impossible. Why? Because normally, enemies drops Gil (the money). Now? Unless you sell shit, you ain't getting even 1 Gil. Unless you kill humans. HOWEVER THEY VERY RARELY DROP GIL. Pain in the ass, I might add.
You constantly run around, praying that your Gambits will work out as you want. Which they normally don't, too.
Character list:
Vaan - S.O.B Main character. Recs was his big brother, apparently. Got an OH so cool outfit...
Balthier: A handsome man who's also a Sky Pirate.
Fran: A Viera (bunny girl) who's 50+. Solely added for fanservice. Looks as if she's like 20, too...
Basch: Sole badass. He's the captain that's accused off killing Vaan's brother.
Ashe: A bitch who was married to Recs. She's apparently a princess. She dresses like a bitch, though...
Penelo: Childhood friend of Vaan. 'Nuff said.
Those six characters, alone, is enough to tell how bad it is.
Also, in the previous ones (up to 9), you just pray your turn is gonna show up before the enemies and kill them. Gambits removes this purpose, by making your characters automatically do whatever you assigned to their Gambit. Example:
Ally: HP>50%: Cure
Enemy: Any: Attack
With those two Gambits (in that order), if any of your allies falls below 50% HP, the character with those Gambits will automatically heal that one, then resume killing whatever enemy that was left off.
I can go on for ages, but I don't feel like it. Maybe I will some other time? I dunno.

Final Fantasy XIII review
A few notes beforehand:
-I do NOT care if you're gonna whine about grammar
-It's MY opinion
-If you don't like my review, tough luck.
-Can be games I like, can be games I hate. I'll only do reviews of games that I've played enough to get an actual impression of (so no WoW review, as I've played too little to tell anything but that it sucks).
Game: Final Fantasy XIII
Genre: RPG
Console: Xbox360 (Note: It's the only one I've played on. I have not played the PS3 version).
Now, first of all, this game sucks like all hell. Reason? For instance, there's so many flaws with this game it's in all honesty just sad. In fact, I could go on all day saying why this game sucks (which I won't, but close enough...)
I'll sum this game up in three easy steps right at once.
-Lack of World Map makes me a sad panda.
-Lack of Character Development makes me a sad panda x2
-Lack of Victory Theme makes me a sad panda x3
Now, I know you might say "BUT THIS GAME IS SO AWESOME!!!!!" *angst* *angst* *angst* but no, it bloody sucks. Other than what I stated above, there's so many flaws I can go into detail on, so let's begin, shall we? First of all, the characters.
Snow: The "Hero" of the game. He's an angsty idiot who's all "OMFG I MUST SAVE SERAH BECAUSE HER FOCUS WAS TO SAVE COCOON!!!!11111!!!!" and claims he's thinking of ways to save Serah. By the way, he isn't. Because that'd make SENSE. And be some character development. AND WE CAN NOT HAVE THAT. Because Lord knows it's forbidden to have character development in this day and age in games. Also, he's all "Yeah, it's all my fault that Serah's turned into Crystal but I'll think of a way to save her anyway!"
Me: ....What kind of bloody moron are you?
Who's Serah and why is she Crystal? She's, apparently, Snow's girlfriend. How they met? You tell me. That's another flaw with this game: It's NEVER mentioned how in Hell's name Snow and Serah met. They... Just date each other. And plans on getting married. What in Hell's name did I miss?
Anyway, Serah is l'Cie. "Andreas, what's a l'Cie?" I hear you ask and well... A l'Cie is... Just that. It's a l'Cie. It's NEVER mentioned really what the hell they are. It's, basically, people able to use magic. So, what, are they like Half-Espers such as Terra in Final Fantasy VI (III in the US) or Celes from the same game, who's been infused with magic? To be honest, I don't have the faintest bloody idea.
All that's mentioned is that there's two types of l'Cie: Pulse l'Cie and Sanctum l'Cie. Apparently, Pulse l'Cie, that you are, is evil. Whereas the Sanctum l'Cie is the good guys. And obviously, we KNOW this to be the truth. TOTALLY.
Sanctum l'Cie's got some higher-ups called fal'Cie's. What's a fal'Cie, then? Again, it's never really explained. By the looks of it, it's just... Well, l'Cie with more power? I don't know.
ANYWAY.
Next character: Lightning.
Lightning is the female lead. Or something. She's a major pain in the ass, to be honest. She's all "OMFG IT'S ALL SNOW'S FAULT THAT SERAH IS A FOCUS SO I MUST NEVER FORGIVE HIM AND I MUST HATE HIM FOR ALL OF ETERNITY!!!!!!"... Serah and Lightning is sisters. Go figure. Lightning hates how Serah became a l'Cie and blames Snow for it, despite it being Serah's choice. What in Hell's name did I just miss here?
Next character in line, Hope. Hope, unlike his name, is a bloody useless idiot who's only good as a Medic. He blames Snow for his mothers death, despite it not being Snow's fault, at it was her own choice to join Snow in combat. Does Hope care? Hah! Hell no. He's all "It's all Snow's fault, I must kill him and then I'll finally be happy!!!!" all the time. As for me, I wanted to punch the freaking idiot a bunch of times. He becomes decent after like, what, chapter 8? (There's 13 chapters in the game, fantastic...) And even then, he's an idiot.
Next character is Vanille. Vanille is a Pulse l'Cie who completed her Focus (basically a mission, more on that later) and became a Crystal (same goes for Serah) who woke up a few hundred years later. Vanille is a bloody pain in the ass who's also a moron and is all "OMFG I MUST LIE IN ORDER TO MAKE PEOPLE LOVE ME AS I CAN'T STAND EVEN ONE PERSON HATING MEH!!!!!11111!!!!!" I mean, come on. She can't stand that people hates her, so she lies in order to make people NOT hate her? Okay.... I guess that makes sense...? (Or not). Anyway, yeah. Makes sense, right? Riiiiiight....
Next character in line for an interview is Sazh. Sazh is a former pilot who lost his wife a few years ago so he's raised his son, Dajh, all by himself. Sazh is, no doubt, the sole awesome character in the game. I got really nothing to say on him.
Final character in line is Fang, Vanille's old friend. Like Vanille, Fang completed her Focus but she forgot it, unlike Vanille. How she forgot it? Beats me. Never explained.
So, what's a Focus? Well, apparently, when one or more people become a l'Cie, they get a certain something called a Focus. What is this Focus? Something they must complete in order not to become Cie'th, which is basically a monster. The six main characters Focus is to become Ragnarok in order to destroy Cocoon. What's Cocoon? The planet or something where you live. I DON'T EVEN KNOW. Apparently, Vanille and Fang had that Focus a few hundred years ago. Makes sense, right? Right.
Alright, now we got some background on every character (...what background?) so let's go on to the next step, shall we? The lack of World Map.
First of all, Gran Pulse is NOT a bloody World Map. It's just a size gigantus dungeon with a few sub-dungeons in it. The ONLY reason it's even CONSIDERED a world map is due to being a lot bigger than Cocoon is. However, there's in all honesty nothing that says it's a world map. Why I don't think it is? Last I checked, world maps does NOT HAVE TREASURE CHESTS ON THEM. Also, there's one whooping city in all of Gran Pulse, Oerba. Which is where Vanille and Fang came from. What do you do when you come there? Nothing at all. You can do a side-quest, which sucks, or just advance at once. Needless to say, you'd probably advance without realising it. How? Because it's so bloody linear. Even if you try to find every single chest in the game, it's NOT very difficult in order to advance again.
So, what about shops? Shops? What are those? No joke. In order to buy in this game, you need to head to a savepoint. Needless to say, I hate that.
Dying? Won't happen. Reason? After a battle, you fully recover all characters HP. And, well, needless to say, it's difficult to die due to this. Also, even if you DO die, you can just select the "Retry" option. No joke. That makes it USELESS to even have the "Game Over" screen. I mean, who the hell would be so stupid that they'd select "Quit"? No, really, who?
Next, if you're an old-school Final Fantasy fan, remember those giant yellow birds, Chocobos? Yeah, they're back. Problem? You can't ride on them. Why not? You haven't done a Cie'th stone mission. "But you said that Cie'th was a monster l'Cie that failed their mission!" I hear you say. And yeah, it's true. However, in this case, it's not. Reason? SOMEHOW, a Cie'th becomes a Cie'th stone. And you can complete THEIR FOCUS AS WELL. Okay... Why? I dunno. It's stupid like all hell. How they become a Cie'th stone? Beats me, never explained EITHER.
Also, before I forget, buying items. You need Gil (money). Killing enemies to get Gil? No. How do we get Gil? By killing enemies and PRAY TO GOD THEY HAVE SOME ITEM THAT CAN BE SOLD FOR A PREMIUM (such as Perfume, which nets 12,500 Gil). And even if they DO have those items, we have to pray THAT THEY DROP SAID ITEMS. Even if you got an accessory that raises the chance of enemies dropping loot for you, it's ridicously low odds to obtain items. Hell, I found myself obtaining maybe 2-3 Perfumes from 9-10 battles. ...Lovely. Other than "sold for a premium", there's transformation modules (it's NEVER explained which one it belongs to, which makes it a major pain in the ass to figure out, too) that can be sold for a bit of cash. But... Yeah.
Also, you an old-school Final Fantasy hardcore fan? Yeah, 'course you are. Remember them huge Behemoth's that you swore to God that you'd kill one day, somehow? They'd constantly tear you open but you'd not give up, being hellbent on being able to kill them? Yeah of course you do. Why do I ask? Those guys doesn't exist. In this game, EVERY SINGLE ENEMY is some type of machine, including humans (machine equipments). Reason? I sure as hell don't know. Even BOMBS is some form of machine. WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING?
Next, there's something called Eidolon battles. In those battles, you must have a set team (for example, Snow VS Shiva SISTERS, yes Shiva is now TWO and yes, Eidolons is machines as well, Lightning and Hope VS Odin, Sazh and Vanille VS Brynhildr etc). In those battles, you'll have a timer on you, from the skill Doom. That shows you having 3 minutes in order to beat them. Each Eidolon likes different things. Example: Shiva Sisters likes being attacked as well as when a person guards. Yeah... Makes no sense whatsoever, right? Right.
What's this? You want to hear some more about characters? Sure, alright, I'll tell you some more! CHECK THE BLOODY DATALOG. No joke. That's the ONLY place that contains even a LITTLE character development. However, even this just contains stuff you just learnt.
Example:
Game: Hope starts operation Nora.
Datalog: Hope started operation Nora in order to avenge his dead mother.
Me: ...I know this. What else?
Datalog: That's all.
Me: WHAT.
No Victory Theme? BLASPHEMY! (What, thought I had forgotten?) Remember how in old games, no matter what you beat, you'd get a victory theme? Yeah, not here. In Final Fantasy XI, which is an online game, there's none. In Final Fantasy XII, it's only against bosses or tough enemies. Here? No matter what you kill, IT WILL NOT HAPPEN.
Speaking of tough enemies. Remember old enemies that had high as hell HP (like 300,000 or so) and took forever to kill in old games? Here, a normal enemy can have 1.5 million HP. No.Freaking.Joke. Even if you do put them into Stagger mode, it takes forever to rack up damage.
What's this? What's Stagger mode? Well.... Each enemy (expect for a select few and Eidolons) got a Stagger meter. Keep punching them and it'll raise. Once a certain percent is hit, they'll enter Stagger mode. Meaning? Um.... Nothing. They just take more damage. That's all what Stagger mode does.
Now, with all those bad things, there's bound to be SOMETHING good, right?
Lesse...
-Cid is evil and a boss (....)
-You can't ride on Chocobos other than by doing a side-quest (....)
-The voice actors is mediocre at best. Best one is Sazh.
-The dungeons is linear like all hell (....)
I'm not kidding. Here's a VG cats quote (I take no credit for it): "What's this? You still have the illusion of freedom? NOPE! Take a long walk down a straight hallway for forty hours!"
New weapons? Hah! Why'd I need one? It sucks. Example: I obtain one weapon in chap. 2 that got 22 STR and 18 MAG. It's Lightning's weapon. I obtain a new weapon for Lightning in chap. 11 that got 11 STR and 11 MAG. 9 chapters later and only half as good? What the hell... Hell, the ONLY way to get a MEDIOCRE weapon is to upgrade your old ones. This requires Gil, which as stated, is impossible to get.
Battles is horrible. You know how it normally should be fine if you have at least 1 character alive, right? Well, no. Let's say your party is Sazh (leader), Vanille and Fang. If Sazh dies, even if Vanille and Fang got full HP, it's game over. Wait... What? Why not simply change it to the next character in line, namely Vanille? Nope, that'd make sense. It's one thing against Eidolon battles (as it's the leader of the party who gets said Eidolon, for example Snow gets Shiva Sisters, Lightning gets Odin etc) but EXPECT for those times? They have no excuse whatsoever!
Now, before I finish, I'll quote someone else (I take no credit for this one, either)
